Porcelain & Watercolors

Barbara’s Watercolor Art begins as a mental “image” of color. She then envisions a creation, be it a face, a mask etc. After transferring this image from her mind to her canvas, each masterpiece is outlined in black pen, resulting in Abstract Watercolor Art in its finest form.

Lustre Porcelain Art is an ancient process. Barbara uses age-old lustre liquids that date back to 1895, and as late as 1960. These lustres contain salts derived from minerals that explain why some pieces may take on the appearance of rocks. Since each lustre liquid begins with a brown hue, the actual processing of the luster porcelain piece in a kiln is what brings out the color brilliance of every piece. You can be sure that your purchase of Barbara Honda’s Lustre Porcelain is a true heirloom work of art.
